Overview

Baker’s Delight is one of Australia’s most iconic bakery franchises, with over 700 stores nationwide. While their bread is baked fresh daily, their digital presence needed a refresh to better reflect the quality, warmth and community focus of the brand. Our mission was to design and build a flexible, scalable website that not only showcased their products and promotions but made content management a slice easier for their internal teams.

The Challenge

The previous Baker’s Delight website was difficult to update, inconsistent in design, and lacked flexibility when it came to managing seasonal campaigns, promotions, and brand content. With multiple internal departments needing to collaborate on updates, the lack of modularity and structure was slowing things down and creating brand inconsistencies. The new site needed to be visually vibrant, on-brand, and intuitive to use for both visitors and content editors.

Our Approach

We began by baking in flexibility from the very beginning. Through collaborative workshops with the Baker’s Delight team, we mapped out key priorities, user flows, and content types. From there, we created a robust design system and content architecture that enabled the internal team to mix and match reusable blocks, all while maintaining brand consistency.

On the development side, we built a modular, component-based WordPress backend that made managing seasonal campaigns, recipes, product ranges, and community stories a breeze. Integrations with store locator tools and campaign landing pages helped drive traffic to the right places, while thoughtful UX design ensured the experience was delightful on every device.

The Results

Since launching the new website, Baker’s Delight has seen improved user engagement, reduced internal bottlenecks, and positive feedback from both customers and staff. Content updates that previously took days now take minutes, and seasonal campaigns are launched faster and with more impact. The site now better reflects the joyful, community-first ethos that Baker’s Delight is known for — and positions them for future digital growth.
