Let’s dive into the website development process
WordPress website development specialists

We specialise in Custom WordPress builds and our flexible content approach is built using WordPress Gutenberg.

Our WordPress framework utilises ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) and the Gutenberg editor. Each website’s editing experience is tailor made to each project.

Development environment setup and process

Our development process involves working locally and deploying changes to a development server for review prior to pushing up to a staging server for your review.

All code is version controlled and committed regularly to test before delivering this to you for review.

Website development testing

Testing is constantly being done throughout the development process and also as a larger testing task (QAT) for the entire site.

The main areas of our testing involve performance, optimisation, cross-browser compatibility, security and front-end design.

Hosting on Kinsta

We host all of our clients websites through a managed WordPress host called Kinsta. The Kinsta platform utilises Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as the underlying server infrastructure.

Website tracking

Being data nerds, we believe that tracking is a crucial step for a successful website launch. Before we launch the site we will regroup with the client and confirm what we are tracking + what the event/goal names are.

From there we will set up GA4 and GTM to ensure the website is pulling in the right data to help make data-led decisions in the future.

SEO checks pre & post live

Pre Live

Head of SEO will do a final sweep to ensure the site doesn’t have any major development or content updates that have been missed before we push your site live.

This process includes the below:

  • URL review which includes 401, 304s and redirects
  • Meta title and description reviews (if applicable)
  • Sitemap review
  • XML file review

Post Live

Our Head of SEO will now ensure the website has been pushed live correctly from an SEO standpoint and complete the following;

  • SEO tech audit
  • SEO speed test
SEO First, what does that mean
SEO matters as if you’re not discoverable it’s harder for new people to find out about you

Throughout our website process, our Head of SEO will be part of the project. SEO comes in at the start to help with structure + content and at the end to ensure it passes SEO Tech tests.

Before a website goes live, we will do a final sweep to ensure the site doesn’t have any major dev or content updates that have been missed before we push your site live.
This process includes the below:

  • URL review which includes 401, 304s and redirects
  • Meta title and description reviews (if applicable)
  • Sitemap review
  • XML file review
  • SEO technical audit
  • SEO speed test

This allows us to pick up on anything that has slipped through the cracks, to ensure once your site is launched, search engines can crawl your website.
