For the second year in a row, Sod have been officially certified as a Great Place to Work! Each year, the Great Places to Work initiative recognises workplaces that provide an environment of positive culture for their staff.
The certification process involves a company-wide survey being completed by staff, with a minimum score needed to receive certification. The results are also segmented into different categories and provide the organisation with areas that can be improved.
For many years, Sod has adopted various initiatives to help achieve a more positive culture for staff to thrive in. A comprehensive performance review framework, fostering an environment for collaboration, feedback and change, a commitment to no overtime or weekend work, a 1 pm finish on Fridays, and psychosocial mental health training are among the initiatives we’ve been focusing on this past 12 months.
We recognise that culture is the water the fish swim in, and we’re immensely proud that our staff have recognised this positively through their Great Places to Work survey feedback. We’ll continue striving forward to improve our culture and are excited to see what the results say when applying in 2025!
